Celina Jaitley - Born 9 June 1981 is an Indian actress. She was crowned Miss India in 2001. She has appeared in several movies and music videos (including the Bombay Vikings' Zara Nazron Se Kehdo video). She was born to an @fghan mother and a Kashmiri father in K@bul, @fgh@nistan. However she grew up in different cities and mostly spent her time in Kolkata, India. Her father is an army officer and her mother, Meeta Jaitley, is a former beauty queen. She has one brother, who is serving in the Indian army. She has said that when she was young, she wanted to join the army herself, either as a doctor or a pilot.

She is daughter of a Punjabi father who was an Indian Army officer. Her mother is an Afghan and is a child psychologist by profession. She was born in 1981, and stands 5”6’ in socks. Her nickname is Chinky. Her schooling was done all over the country due to the frequent transfers of her father. She had to change thirteen schools till her Board exams. Presently her family stays in Bangalore. Celina’s past five generations have served the army and there was a point of time in her life, when she was also tinkering with the idea of taking the Combined Defence Services exam.

Celina Jaitely "Miss India 2001" is 21 years old 5 feet 6 inches tall from Kolkata. She also won the Miss Margo Beautiful skin, Inditimes Surfer's Choice and MTV's Most Wanted Awards. She hails from a military background where she had a normal and strict up bring.

Celina is a Business Communications graduate, best science student in junior high school. She has done few computer courses also. She is a model for Angora Watches, Mother Diary, Night Angel Perfume. She wanted to be a pilot. She won the most prestigious beauty contest in Bengal. Her favorite actors are Amitabh Bachchan and 'Whoopi Goldberg'.

Celina Jaitley´s debut in Bollywood is expected to be quite a dream debut when the movie is from the Feroz Kh@n camp. The movie titled Janasheen opposite Fardeen Kh@n. Her other film was Khel. So in the year 2003 Celina Jaitley set the screen on fire with her itcy bitsy acts in both 'Khel' and 'Jaanashaeen'. But both the films disappeared without a trace. Enough to dishearten for any newcomer but she is striving hard to create a place for herself. Her confident and cool manner makes her a strong contender for an actress in the reckoning. 'Janasheen' has given her an image of a sex symbol. More than her acting skills her bikini shots were talked.

Her next release will be Idiot with Zayed Kh@n. Its a remake of telgu film Appu. Its a college campus love story replete with fun and light hearted situations. Then Feroz's one more movie Shaadi.com which has been behind schedule. Then Boney Kapoor's No entry co stars Fardeen, Lara Dutta, Salman, Bipasha Basu. In this film she play a naive girl who implicitly trusts others. She is to empowering women and knows judo and karate. She is playing Fardeen's wife in this movie. this is the story of 3 married couples with their problems. These days her personal life is a mess. Because of her career the relationship with her boyfriend Alex is going through a rough patch.
